Following a public procurement process Oakview was delighted to be selected to manage the Early Year Facility in Tallaght and Clondalkin. Oakview took over management on April 1 st , 2019. Oakview Village Tallaght has 5 indoor learning environments and one outdoor learning environment, which is shared by all the rooms. We can care and educate for 53 children at any one time, we offer full and part time care or sessional for ECCE only children from 9- 12 across the school term. We open Monday to Friday between 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
We offer a holistic approach in the care and early education of each child in partnership and co- operation with Parents/ Guardians in a quality childcare service that is inclusive for all the community. Our aim is to provide children in the local area and of employees of South Dublin County Council with the highest standard of care. Our objective is to create a child centered, inclusive environment while implementing the High Scope and emergent method of teaching. We use Aistear and Síolta in guiding our practice and curriculum planning. Children’s interests are followed and expanded on and it is this that guides our weekly themes and activities of learning. We have long and medium term curriculum planning in the form of monthly themes, however this is a guide and only ever used to ensure we don’t miss a learning opportunity.
