Oakview Village Childcare is in the heart of Tralee, providing high quality Early Years Education for children aged between 5 months and 12 years.
Oakview Village Childcare opened its doors in 2008 and has continued to grow ever since. Oakview Village Childcare is the only Crèche in Tralee to have been presented with the All IrelandCentre of Excellence Award. We have also been honoured as winners of ‘Best Private Crèche’ in 2011 and 2014 at the prestigious annual National Maternity & Infant Awards as well as receiving a gold award for the ‘Best in Diversity and Equality’ and Bronze for ‘Best Indoor Learning Environment’ awards at the National Maternity Infant Awards in 2016. Furthermore, we received a Business AllStars award in 2019 and we were presented with the national Green School award on two occasions.
We have created a friendly, child centred environment, where our highly qualified staff provide excellent Early Years Care and Education. We offer Full Time/Part Time and Sessional services.We use the High Scope approach to learning which is a quality approach to early childhood care and education which has been shaped and developed by research and practice over 50 years. It identifies and builds on children's strengths, interests and abilities.
At Oakview Village Childcare our aim is to provide Tralee and the surrounding area with the highest standard of care, delivered in our state of the art, purpose built childcare facility.Oakview Village Childcare also has the enhanced service of its very own Naíonra since 2011 which introduces children to the Irish Language. In addition to these services, we also provide afterschool care onsite as well as homework club facilities in the local Gaelscoil Mhic Easmainn Primary Schooland Listellick National School. We also facilitate Out-Of-School care for Primary School Children during Mid-Term Breaks and summer holidays.
We operate the ECCE Preschool Scheme as well as the National Childcare Scheme.In 2016 Oakview Village launched the Early Years Support Centre for Children with Additional Needs and supports for their families.
